Spam is a nuisance and I have to clear great swathes of it from my spam filter each day, but in amongst it there are sometimes some gems of unintentional humor, so you will see the odd piece of spam in the comments on my column, loving my blog, while advocating you buy a manoir in Brittany or cheap aphrodisiacs or whatever.

Yes it is annoying isn’t it – and there is one thing I find curious…
How come so many of these spam messages are not even written in proper sentences. I got one recently which said,
“How I love your blog most interesting my visit. Will come again soon and like your subject well written.” before posting a link to a spurious religious page!
