World War 2: Military War Deaths

If you base your view of the relative significance of the different theaters of war in World War 2 on Hollywood, these numbers might surprise you, though even this only covers military deaths, and fails the people of China who lost at least a million soldiers, and another 15 million civilians as well as other un-filmed millions died in the Philippines, Thailand, Burma and Malaysia. Not to mention the massive killings of civilians in Poland, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union :
