Three Types of Psychological Pain

Some people have found this diagram I created useful, painful situations for the navigation of: It suggests that life throws at us painful situations as we live it, which we may sometimes have to experience as existential pain we need to learn to sit by for a time, but eventually we need to move on motivated by navigational pain which brings us back full circle, and indeed it is often cyclical though hopefully we get better at it. And knowing where we are on the cycle can help and also reduce internal conflicts through this understanding.
